My keypad shows FC. What does this stand for?

Common Sales Questions & our Residential Guaranty

What is your home security system guarantee?

Two years with a three year home monitoring agreement.

Do you sell Carbon Monoxide (CO) detectors?

Yes.  We sell various types of Carbon Monoxide (CO) detectors.  Some of our most popular models are: Honeywell 5800CO and System Sensor CO1224T.

Can we control our alarm with our smartphone?

Yes, most new alarm systems can be controlled with popular smartphones.

Does your system come with a silent duress?

Yes! Just let our installation team know that you would like that feature configured.

How long does a typical residential installation take?

Normally less than one day.  However if you have a large or complex system, the duration may vary.

Are you licensed in the state of New Jersey?

Yes, we have all the required licenses to install burglar alarms and fire systems in the state of New Jersey. Our license numbers are listed on the home page.

I have large windows and like to leave them open at night. Can they be secured?

Yes.  We can offer many ways to secure large open windows.  One way is to have the screens themselves alarmed.  If the screen is removed, cut or tampered with, the alarm will activate.

Why do I need an alarm system if I have guns or a dog?

Our system will normally protect your dog and dwelling in the case of armed intruders. Burglars can be brutal or harmful towards pets, often doing whatever they need to, in order to bypass them. Our system can protect your pet from harm, as well as fire and carbon monoxide. If there is a burglar, fire or a CO issue in your house, your dog will not be able to call the police or fire department, our system will!

While a gun may protect you during an incident (assuming you have it armed and next to you), an alarm will deter an intruder prior to them getting into your house and putting your loved ones at risk. An alarm will protect you at all hours, notify the police for you without action required, and is not susceptible to human conditions such as sickness, sleep or human error.

General Carbon Monoxide questions

Do I need a carbon monoxide detector?

It is highly recommended that you have a monitored carbon monoxide (CO) detector.  This will allow your pets to be safe when you are away, as well as notifying you PRIOR to walking into a hazardous condition.  Traditional A/C outlet based models only beep.  If you cannot hear the alarm, it is useless.  With a monitored unit, you will get a phone call from our central station, and be made aware of the life threatening situation immediately.  This will save your loved ones, pets and you!  Please keep in mind that CO is odorless!!!  You will not know it is there.   Our monitored CO system has already saved the lives of our customers.
